Maximizing the Life of Your Ebook Marketing Campaign

Unless you have developed a quick fire method of producing eBooks or are using non original content then you will have spent a substantial period preparing the text, graphics and marketing plan to capitalize on this effort. However you have only one book and one marketing event to show for all of this effort, so was it really worth all that effort?

The answer to this question is of course a resounding yes, as in all things the only limit to your success is your imagination. Your eBook need not be limited to one big day and then moved out to pasture.


To maximize the effectiveness of your one eBook, release it on your own site.

You will have spent several days prior to the launch date, dripping out information related to your eBook launch and by the time the big day comes you should have a hungry and eager customer base. On the launch day of course, you are hoping they will take note of what else you have to offer but the main focus is the eBook and it is important that you are not overly generous.

You after all only have one eBook, thus to extend the life of the book, release a new chapter every day and ensure that on the last page of the last few chapters you include an option to obtain the entire book by visiting your opt-in page. On the final day of the series add it to the sign up form and offer it as a complete package in return for their details. You will have had a surge in visitors and hopefully your list will have benefited likewise with several new members.

If you are able to ship items to people then slip a disc into the packaging containing several chapters of this eBook. You will now have your marketing directly in front of them and of course they will need to visit your site to get the remainder of the book.

Once you have released your eBook ensure that you keep it updated, one of the best times to release the update is when there is a special event around the same topic. You will be able to use the hype around that product to siphon off some of their excited audience. You can at this time of course have another site event to promote the new content, ensure to follow the same format as before and this time give those on your list preferential treatment and let everyone else know that your subscribers are getting this special treatment.

With this first eBook released, ensure that you try to get as much feedback from the readers as possible. They will soon tell you if you have got something wrong or have missed a vital element, this of course can be corrected in the next update.

The other advantage of doing this is that you can increase your engagement with your readers as you can give those that help a credit in the book. It is a great feeling to be mentioned in someone else's presentation, this has happened to me and it does wonders for your reputation.

With the ever, increasing ease of multimedia creation, why stop at just using the written word. The possibilities are as I have said, limited only by your imagination, do not worry about your finances for this need not be involved in this area.
